Eventio
Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 25, 2025
Innoveo ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Eventio mobile application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use Eventio. It is intended to align with the App Store’s privacy requirements and applicable data protection laws (such as the GDPR and CCPA where applicable).
1. How You Use the App (No Email or Social Login)
Eventio does not require you to sign in with an email, phone number, or any social account (such as Apple or Google). The App uses anonymous authentication: when you open the App, a persistent anonymous identifier is created and linked to your use of the service. We do not collect your email address or phone number for sign-in.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following in connection with the App:
- Anonymous identifier: A unique user ID generated by our authentication provider (Firebase) for your app installation. This is not linked to your real-world identity unless you choose to add identifying information (such as a display name) in the App.
- Profile information you provide: If you set a display name or profile photo in the App, we store these so you can be identified to other participants in events you join or create. You are not required to use your real name.
- Event and app content: Data you create or upload in the App, including event names, descriptions, dates, locations, participant lists, expenses, task lists, receipts, and photos. This is stored on our infrastructure to provide the service (e.g. syncing and sharing with other participants you invite).
- Usage counts: We store aggregate counts (e.g. number of events created per month, number of photos uploaded per period) linked to your anonymous ID to enforce free-tier limits and provide premium features. We do not use this for advertising or tracking.
We do not use your data for third-party advertising, for advertising measurement, or for tracking you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Eventio service
- Associate your anonymous account with your events, profile, and content
- Store and sync your events, expenses, tasks, and photos and share them with participants you invite
- Apply free-tier limits and premium features (using usage counts linked to your anonymous ID)
- Process and validate subscriptions (via the Apple App Store and our subscription management provider)
- Respond to your support requests when you contact us
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use
4. Data Storage and Infrastructure
Event data, participant information, expenses, tasks, and photos are stored and processed on our infrastructure (including cloud services we use to run the App). We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and comply with law; you can request deletion as described in Section 7.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Firebase (Google): For anonymous authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage. Your anonymous user ID, profile data, event data, and photos are stored and processed by Firebase in accordance with our instructions and Google’s privacy policy.
- RevenueCat: For subscription management and purchase validation. RevenueCat may use device or app-related identifiers to link purchases to your subscription status. We do not receive your payment card details; payments are processed by Apple.
- Apple App Store: For in-app purchase and subscription billing. Apple processes payments and may collect billing information in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
We do not use Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or any social login. We encourage you to review these providers’ privacy policies. We only share data with them as necessary to operate the App and as described in this policy.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data:
- With other Eventio users you invite to an event (e.g. event details, your display name, content you add to that event)
- With the third-party services listed in Section 5, to the extent necessary to provide the App
- If required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property
- In connection with a merger, sale, or other transfer of our business (subject to this Privacy Policy for the transferred data)
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal or legitimate retention needs
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format where applicable
- Opt-out of marketing: We do not use your data for marketing without your consent; you can opt out of any marketing communications at any time
- Object or restrict processing: In certain jurisdictions, you may have the right to object to or request restriction of certain processing
- Complaint: Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@innoveo.co. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. Because Eventio uses anonymous accounts, we may need information that only you know (e.g. your display name or details of your events) to locate your data. For App Store subscription management and refund requests, use your device Settings or reportaproblem.apple.com.
8. Children
Eventio is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions) where required by law for such transfers.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy at this URL and updating the "Last updated" date. We may also notify you in the App where appropriate. Your continued use of Eventio after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
